ADSS Anti-Rodent Fiber Optic Cable

GL FIBER revolutionizes its designs of self-supporting ADSS cables by offering its Anti-Rodent design, a cable specially designed to be installed in areas where there is an influx of rodents and which in turn can damage a conventional cable. This Anti-Rodent design is composed of a double Polyethylene (MDPE) cover and a dielectric armor of fiberglass strips (FRP) which provides protection against rodents. It is for span 120 m, without the need for a steel messenger thanks to its self-supporting and dielectric design.

In aerial installation, the anti-rodent ADSS self-supporting dielectric cable is resistant with great stability in aerial installations with an interpostal distance (span) of 120 meters. 

It can be aerially placed in semi-urban areas, where there is too much undergrowth and trees, thanks to its anti-rodent protection.

TERMS OF USE :

When working with this cable, the span, the selection of hardware and finishes must be taken into account according to the diameter of the cable.

• Do not apply excessive tensions and efforts

• Do not expose to temperatures outside the range of -30ºC to + 70ºC

• Use appropriate tool to strip the cable and fibers.

• Do not make excessive curves, consult performance against curvature in the “Fiber specifications” table.

At present, the annual production capacity of optical cables reaches 12 million core-km (average daily production capacity of 45,000 core km and kinds of cables can reach  1,500 km) . Our factories can produce various types of indoor and outdoor optical cables ( such as ADSS, GYFTY, GYTS, GYTA, GYFTC8Y, air-blown micro-cable, etc.). the daily production capacity of common cables can reach 1500KM/day, the daily production capacity of drop cable can reach max. 1200km/day, and the daily production capacity of OPGW can reach 200KM/day.
