Bending Insensitive Single-Mode Fiber Optical Telecommunication G657A2

 

Characteristics:

G.657A2 bending-loss insensitive single-mode optical fiber is superior to standards of ITU-T Recommendation G.652D/G.657A and IEC International Standard 60973-2-50 B1.3.
The optical fiber perform is manufactured via the advanced VAD process. Due to the advantages of the fiber drawing process and the adopted VAD performs, G.657A2 optical fiber shows perfect refractive index profile, excellent geometrical performance, low bending loss etc.

 

(1)Totally overcomes the attenuation of water peak at 1383nm and could operate over the entire wavelength from 1260nm to 1625nm.
(2)Excellent bending performance, applicable to requirement of special bending radius.
(3)Compatible with existing G.652D.
(4)Accurate geometrical parameters that insures low splicing loss and high splicing efficiency.
(5)Excellent PMD performance, supporting high-speed and long repeater spacing transmission system.

Application:

 G.657A2 applies to all types of optical fiber cable especially indoor tight-buffer cable and bow-type drop cable, which is the essential part for FTTH and FTTB.

G.657A2 bears the entire characteristics of non-dispersion shifted single-mode optical fiber and superior bending performance, which is applicable to transmission over entire wavelength from 1260nm to 1625nm. It has low macro-bending loss and even with the bending radius of 7.5mm,and the macro-bending loss at 1625nm is only 0.8 dB.
